This report comes out of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of

Child’s Day of Discussion. The report gives recommendations to States on
how to apply the articles of the Convention of the Rights of the Child in
practice to early childhood development. Its purpose is to highlight the
importance of early childhood development for laying a solid foundation for
the sound development of the child’s personality, talents, mental and
physical abilities.
