On 26 June in Brussels, Child Helpline International launched 'Voices of Young Europe' in the presence of Frances Fitzgerald, Irish minister for Children and Youth Affairs and MEP Antonio Lopez-Isturiz White, Spain. It is the first of six anniversary reports based on 10 years of child helpline data. In the report, 58 million contacts that were received by European child helplines over the past decade are collated and analysed. The information gained from these contacts provides alarming insights about the world of children and young people in Europe today. At the launch event, Mr Lopez-Isturiz White and Ms. Fitzgerald called on national European governments and EU politicians to support child helplines and recognise data from child helplines as it is the voice of children and young people. Voices of Young Europe is available for download now on CHI's website: www.childhelplineinternational.org
