A Study of Child Sex Tourism, in the Gambia and the Involvement of Dutch Tourists

Summary: After reports of sexual abuse of
children by tourists in the Gambia,
this report was commissioned. Key
players from the tourism & child
protection sectors were interviewed
& all believed that tourists & expats
from all major European countries
are involved in sex tourism.
As a result of this report, recommendations were given to provide
centralised recording & training of tourism sector staff & security
staff, as well as a call for further research.
