'Ouch' activities, ideas, games and resources

Save the Children is launching the Ouch campaign to remind the G8 leaders of the promises they made last year. To make politicians listen, stick the Save the Children OUCH plaster where everyone can see it and stick your hand up for free healthcare for the world’s poorest children.

Save the Children has produced a number of fun activities and resources around the campaign:

Top trumps with a twist
Try to trump your friends, with our global healthcare cards. One card per country, but that's where the equality ends.

Wordsearch
Find the fifteen words in our fiendish grid.

Fundraising ideas
Various schemes and ideas to make a real difference. Warning: some of these fundraising activities may seriously improve your health!

Teaching resources
Are you a teacher or know someone who is? These teaching ideas and lesson plans (adaptable for upper KS2 and KS3 classes) explore the issues behind the campaign.

Pick up an activity pack full of fundraising ideas from any Save the Children UK shop for 50p. Raise money for Save the Children and work towards getting a Bag For Life Kit free.

Further teaching resources are available from School Link , a complete scheme of work for primary schools that gives UK schoolchildren the chance to find out what life is like in another country and also to support Save the Children’s long-term work.
