Bangladeshi children & adolescents
aged between 8 & 16. The book
exposes the vast discrepancies in
the rights they can exercise. Several
other illustrative examples are given.
Distinct conceptualisations of
childhood are shown to be critical of
the construction of a society
characterised by a high degree of
class/gender inequality.
