Summary: Children in Europe is a new
magazine created by a network of
magazines from seven European
countries. It will focus on services for
and work with children aged 0 - 10
and their families.
Each issue will be dedicated to an
important topic. The launch issue will
examine how best we can listen to
young children.

Children in Europe is a new magazine created by a network of
magazines from seven European countries. It will focus on
services for and work with children aged 0 - 10 and their families.
The magazine is a forum to learn about innovative ideas and
practice throughout Europe on the day-to-day work with children,
for formulating policies or for research purposes.
Each issue will be dedicated to an important topic. The launch
issue will examine how best we can listen to young children.

Articles featured in the first issue are:
1) the pedagogy of listening from the celebrated Reggio Emilia
centres in Italy;
2) the national policy on listening to young children in Denmark;
3) the mosaic approach to listening;
4) local children¹s councils in France;
5) developments in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Children in Europe is available by subscription (£7 for two issues.
First issue published in September 2001)
