Summary: In 2010, social workers, social development advocates and practitioners are urged to come together, to consolidate our experience, to share new knowledge and skills, and to discuss and jointly develop a New Action Agenda for social work and social development in the next decade that creates synergies among professionals to lead the global agenda for people-centered sustainable social progress.
2010 Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development The Agenda The conference will be held from 10th to 14th June 2010 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (www.hkcec.com.hk). Three international and eight local hosts will jointly organize the conference. This first ever consortium offers a unique platform for more than 2,000 professionals, academics, practitioners, social planners, policy makers and advocates from East and West to meet, exchange, and develop an action agenda for social work and social development in the next decade.
