Norway: Supplementary Report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child 2009

For the majority of children, Norway is a good place to grow up. However, considerable challenges remain for certain children and groups of children.

This report touches on a number of key areas, and will place special focus on the areas within which the Ombudsman for Children has worked in recent years.

The report can be read as a commentary on Norway's fourth periodic report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (hereafter referred to as Norway's report).

In addition to research, data, and information from the government, the Ombudsman's contact with children, parents and experts is an important backdrop for the Ombudsman's contribution to this report.
