Summary: At its 22th session (Geneva, 20 September - 8 October 1999) the Committee on the Rights of the Child devoted a Day of General Discussion (6 October 1999) on the "Tenth Anniversary of the Convention of the Convention on the Rights of the Child - Commemorative Meeting : Achievements and Challenges”. As for previous thematic discussions, the Committee invited representatives of United Nations organs, competent bodies and specialized agencies, including non-governmental organizations, research and academic organizations and individual experts, to contribute to the discussion.
