A Workshop Report on Child Participation in the UN Study on Violence Against Children

Summary: The UN Study on Violence against
Children provides a good opportunity
to bring in children's participation
into addressing violence against
children at all levels.

Children's participation has to be more than token. It should also
be ethical and meaningful. Save the Children organised a one-
day workshop on child participation in the UN Study on Violence
against Children in Geneva on 1 April 2004. Organisations and
agencies involved in the UN Study (came) to explore and reflect
upon how children can be involved in the process in meaningful
