PAKISTAN: 2010 cruel numbers report on child sexual abuse

In order to collect data on child sexual abuse (CSA) in Pakistan, Sahil monitors 69 national dailies on reported incidents of CSA. We believe that  the number of incidents presented in the print media do not represent the total numbers of such incidents in Pakistan-because such issues are taboo and are not easily reported. Any attempt to quantify the issue of child sexual abuse is bound to be limited in scope.

The aim of producing these reports is to inform the general public and child policy makers of the incidents of CSA in Pakistan. Also, it is aiming to provide information to all stakeholders in all the sectors of society for protection of children.
