Old Enough to Work, Old Enough to Have a Say :Different Approaches to Supporting Working Children

" This report is a first attempt to give a comprehensive picture of
selected programmes for - and of - working children. David Tolfree
has
taken a sample of five programmes in Peru, El Salvador,
Ethiopia,Senegal
and Bangladesh.
Rädda Barnen and its partner organisations have extensive
experience of
working for and with working children in many parts of the world.
Until
now, however, the experience has not been systematised.
Consquently, it has
been difficult to learn from it and to facilitate an international
cross-fertilisation of ideas.
For this report a variety of methods were used: observation of
programme
activities, open-ended or semi-structured interviews, workshop
groups with
young people involved in the programmes and the like."
