Summary: NGO participation in the Special
Session on Children was
unprecedented, with more than
1,700 NGO representatives in
attendance including more than 400
children and young people. The report provides an overview of the many activities in which
NGOs engaged to promote better policies, stronger laws, higher
budgets and improved services for children. It is a testament to
the power of civil society and what can be achieved when we
work together with children and for children.
