Let's Work Together

SCF's summary of the publication
Managing Children's Behaviour - A resource for everyone who
works with other people's children
Managing children's behaviour provides a trainers pick-up and go
half day workshop for those who work with other people's
children, for example childminders, nursery or family centre
workers, playgroup/pre-school workers, teachers, crèche
workers, afterschool workers or nannies.

The aims of the workshop are:

1. to identify children's behaviour which is challenging to adults
2. to identify techniques adults use to control challenging
behaviour
3. to identify ways adults can reinforce positive behaviour in
children

The pack is clearly laid out in three sections for ease of handling.
It provides guidance for tutors, a complete section for students to
work through and take away as well as details of further reading
and resources

Training unlocks the key to quality care for children. This
workshop introduces the concepts of reducing the negative and
reinforcing positive behaviour in children by firstly identifying and
changing negative behaviour in adults.
