Resource Materials for Parent Groups Children in Wales summary of the publication "The Healthy Child resource materials have been developed from a three year Welsh office funded project in response to numerous requests from parents for information on health related issues. These resources are based on issues identified by parents of children under five years. They are designed to be used by personnel from health, education and the voluntary sector, supporting parents in group contexts such as parent and toddler groups, playgroups, family centres , child health clinics and schools Following extensive trialling, the materials were developed around five key topics. Each topic has been divided into a series of sessions. Each group can select the top of most interest and relevance to them. Safety and first aid Childhood illnesses Healthy eating Child development Enjoying and managing young children
