Girls 2000: NGOs Report on Progress Since Beijing, prepared for Beijing + 5

Summary: This report focuses on concerns most
frequently voiced by NGOs in
response to a survey, namely
education, labour and violence. It
reflects their view of progress made
by governments and good practice
by NGOs. It concludes that
awareness is improving,
governments have made some
progress but not enough and gender
and age-disaggregated research is
grossly inadequate
