FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION: Child rights-focused report by the UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of expression

In his report, the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, Frank La Rue, focuses on the right of the child to freedom of expression. He calls for a greater focus by the international community and States on children’s right to freedom of expression and access to information, while noting with concern the adoption of various restrictive measures allegedly aimed at protecting children from harmful information.
