Summary: Children and adolescents statements at thematic panels Panel on: New dimensions of sexual exploitation and emerging challenges We, the children and adolescents from every country would like to summarize our requests and ideas to stop sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. Our request is as follows: 1. Governments should have laws on sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and should work on its enforcement. The laws should create awareness of this issue. There should be monitoring of these laws at every level of the government. 2. There should be strict punishment for those who exploit children and adolescents. 3. There should be psycho-social rehabilitation of the victims of sexual abuse and exploitation. 4. Extend capacity of networks to prevent and protect children and adolescents from sexual exploitation. 5. The schools, communities, parents, children and adolescents need to play an active role in preventing sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. 6. There should be rehabilitation centers, early indicator centers for victims of sexual exploitation. The victims should be able to access these services. 7. Enforce a public policy to prevent the perpetrator from committing this crime again. Provide the perpetrator psycho-social rehabilitation. 8. Each country should have a specific organisation that has the authority to monitor the government policy related to child protection. The government needs to have a budget to fund activities that will help in preventing sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. On behalf of children and adolescents in every country, we would like to request every section, agency and government to have more collaboration to protect children and adolescents from sexual exploitation. We hope that children of the world will be happy and safe. Further information More news HERE.
