BUSINESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS: Registration opens for inaugural forum

Summary: The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is inviting relevant stakeholders to register for the first annual Forum on Business and Human Rights, to be held from 4 to 5 December 2012 in Palais des Nations, Geneva.

The Forum is under the guidance of the Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises, and will discuss trends and challenges in the implementation of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and promote dialogue and cooperation on issues linked to business and human rights. The Forum is open to multistakeholder participation, including States, business, civil society, affected individuals and groups.

The deadline for registrations is 1 November 2012.
