CRC SESSION REPORTS: Kazakhstan, Maldives, Slovak Republic, Uruguay, Bangladesh, Guatemala
The Committee on the Rights of the Child held its 45th Session in Geneva, Switzerland from 21 May - 8 June 2007. The Committee has adopted recommendations on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Kazakhstan, Maldives, the Slovak Republic, Uruguay, and on its Optional Protocols in Bangladesh, Guatemala, Sudan, Ukraine, Monaco, Norway and Sweden.
The NGO Group for the Convention of the Rights of the Child has produced summaries of the Committee Sessions for each country. These are available on the CRIN website, on a news page devoted to the activities of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. Reports are available for: Kazakhstan (second and third periodic reports), Maldives (second and third periodic reports), the Slovak Republic (second periodic report), Uruguay (second periodic report), Bangladesh (OPSC), Guatemala (OPSC and OPAC) and Sudan (OPSC). The OPSC Session report for the Ukraine will be made available shortly. The reports of Monaco, Norway and Sweden were examined in a technical review.
The Committee will hold its next Session from 17 September – 5 October 2007.
