Despite international condemnation, children can be sentenced to death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment in countries around the world.
With partners, CRIN is campaigning to end these human rights violations. One key element of the campaign is 'naming and shaming' States that continue to subject children to inhuman sentencing. CRIN has developed detailed country reports on States which still authorise the inhuman sentencing of children, and we are inviting governments and civil society organisations to comment on and/or verify the contents of these country reports. We also submit evidence to the UN about countries who continue this practice, and offer advice to others who wish to do so as well, while supporting national campaigns. And much more.
Follow the links below for further information, including how to join us to generate the necessary legal reform to stop these practices. Campaigns need to happen at all levels (international, regional and national) if we are going to protect children from this violence.
