The Alternative Report on the Optional Protocol on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict - Uganda

Summary: This report provides supplementary information on Uganda’s initial report on the implementation of the OPAC. It highlights key measures undertaken to realize the provisions of the OPAC, including legislative reform, policy initiatives, administrative and other measures to prevent the recruitment of children and/or provide support to child victims. It documents some obstacles that still impinge on the effective implementation of the OPAC and concludes with specific recommendations to enable the government of Uganda to fulfill its obligations and commitments at international and national level.pdf: http://www.crin.org/docs/Uganda_UCRNN_OPAC_NGO_Report.pdf
