VIET NAM: Children's Ombudsperson

Summary: Information about institutions in Viet Nam that monitor children's rights.

Children's Ombudsperson

The Committee on the Rights of the Child has persistently expressed concern at the lack of an independent mechanism in Viet Nam to monitor, promote and protect children's rights. In its 2012 Concluding Observations, the Committee reiterated this concern and urged the State to “establish an independent monitoring body provided with sufficient human, technical and financial resources to guarantee independence and efficacy”.
