UNITED KINGDOM: UPR submission on inhuman sentencing of children

Life imprisonment in various forms is a lawful sentence in England and Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland for offences committed while under the age of 18. 

This report was submitted ahead of the 27th session of the Universal Periodic Review as part of our campaign against inhuman sentencing of children - defined to include sentences of death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment.
