TURKEY: New Constitution fails to include core child rights principles

Summary: NGOs in Turkey say a new Constitution introduced this month, fails to incorporate core child rights principles into the Turkish legal system. They had been calling for a separate article on child rights in the new Constitution. However, they say that the amended Article 41 only addresses children's rights in the context of the institution of the family. pdf: http://www.crin.org/docs/Turkish_constitution.doc
