TOXICS AND HUMAN RIGHTS: CRIN's submission for the SR's guide on good practices

This submission represents the contribution of CRIN to the questionnaire of the Special Rapporteur on the implications for human rights of the environmentally sound management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes for the development of a guide on good practices.

Highlights include the issue of accessing justice for victims of hazardous substances and wastes. This submission focuses on different types of actions and practicalities that are of particular relevance to children in this context and which should be developed as good practices, in order to allow child victims to obtain remedies but also for preventing violations’ recurrence by ensuring future laws and policies respect rights.
