TONGA: UPR submission on inhuman sentencing

The death penalty, life imprisonment and corporal punishment remain lawful in Tonga for offences committed by children.

This report was submitted ahead of the 29th Session of the Universal Periodic Review in January 2018 as part of our campaign against inhuman sentencing - defined to include sentences of death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment.
