TANZANIA: Children on the streets of Mwanza

A report on the third annual ‘headcount’ of children and youth who are ‘connected to’ the streets of Mwanza, Tanzania.

The children and youth who are the focus of this survey are those who live and/or work on the streets, as well as those who spend a significant amount of time on the streets.

This headcount survey was conducted to help compare findings to previous counts and to provide a comprehensive picture of the numbers of street connected children over time and in different settings of the city.
