European Court of Human Rights

Switzerland is a member of the Council of Europe and subject to the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, which issues decisions that are binding on all Council of Europe members. The Court maintains a searchable database of its case law (http://hudoc.echr.coe.int/sites/eng/Pages/search.aspx#), and the Council of Europe's Theseus project also offers a database containing Court case law relevant to children's rights (http://www.coe.int/t/dg3/children/WCD/simpleSearch_en.asp).

CRIN's case law database currently contains no decision of the European Court of Human Rights on Switzerland. If you are aware of any relevant cases, please contact CRIN at [email protected].

European Committee of Social Rights

Switzerland signed the European Social Charter on 06/05/1976. It has not yet signed nor ratified the Revised European Social Charter.
