SWAZILAND: Inhuman sentencing of children

When the Children's Protection and Welfare Act came into force
in July 2013, it implemented wide reaching reforms of the juvenile justice system, abolishing corporal punishment as a sentence for children and reinforcing the prohibition on the death penalty for offences committed while under the age of 18. This report was prepared for the Child Rights International Network (CRIN) in October 2010 and updated in December 2015.
