Education is crucial for overcoming poverty, equalizing work opportunities, and promoting greater gender equality and the well-being of new generations.  However, not all children and adolescents in Latin America and the Caribbean have access to quality education.  This issue of Challenges addresses the right of all children and adolescents to education.
