Report on CRIN's legal advocacy workshop in East Africa

In January 2015 Child Rights International Network (CRIN) held a workshop in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on "Challenging persistent violations of children’s rights: Encouraging effective legal advocacy in East Africa". This was the third legal advocacy workshop organised by CRIN after a national workshop in Turkey in 2011 and a regional workshop on South Asia in Nepal in 2013. The aim of these workshops is to explore how CRIN can most usefully support national campaigns and encourage the use of stronger forms of legal advocacy including strategic litigation to challenge violations of children’s rights.
