Children's Ombudsperson

In its Concluding Observations of 2013, the Committee on the Rights of the Child expressed concern that there was no mechanism to independently monitor the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and to receive and address complaints of violations of children's rights. The Committee urged the State to “make all possible efforts to set up a mechanism to independently and impartially monitor the implementation of the Convention and to receive and address complaints from children.”
