LAOS: Children's Ombudsperson

Summary: Information about institutions in Laos that monitor children's rights.

Children's Ombudsperson

As of April 2011 there was no independent human rights institution to monitor the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, or to receive and investigate complaints on violations of the rights of children. The Committee on the Rights of the Child has recommended that Laos establish such a body in accordance with the Paris Principles.
