Involve young people in holding governments to their promises! A new, free resource for teachers and group leaders on advocacy and HIV and AIDS encourages young people to voice their opinions and call on national and world leaders to keep their promises in response to the pandemic.
Youth in schools, community and church groups, families and more can join thousands of others around the world in writing letters to their national governments in advance of the UN review of the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, 31 May - 2 June. Selected copies of letters should also be sent to New York for a possible exhibit at the UN headquarters during the review itself.
The easy-to-use curriculum is produced by the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance and co-sponsored by the World AIDS Campaign, UNAIDS, and World Health Organization. It is available now in English, and soon in French, Spanish and Portuguese.
