EAPRO Regional children and youth opinion survey, January-May: The survey is being coordinated by EAPRO and will be conducted in 12 UNICEF programme countries in East and Southeast Asia as well as Australia, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong/Macao. The survey will promote the authentic participation of the region’s children and youth in decision-making by giving them the opportunity to have their opinions and concerns heard and widely shared with their governments and the public. The survey will also help UNICEF and its partners develop a better understanding of the awareness of child rights among young people, and help promote stronger and more relevant policies for them. The survey, which is scheduled to get underway in late January, will cover some 10,500 children across the region. The results and survey report are scheduled to be presented at the 5th Ministerial Consultation in May.
