Destitution in Ethiopia's Northeastern Highlands (Amhara Region)

Summary: This research has found that
communities across the economic
spectrum in this region have become
progressively poorer. Ethiopia is now
chronically dependent on food aid
and increasing volumes of
international assistance to meet
emergency appeals and annual food
deficits have detracted funds from
addressing the underlying causes of
chronic food insecurity.
