Children's Ombudsperson
Denmark’s National Council for Children (Børnerådet; http://www.boerneraadet.dk) was first established in 1994, and is now a fully independent body tasked with monitoring the situation of children. The Council is, however, presently unable to receive individual complaints from children, and the Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended in 2005 that it be granted these powers.
