 Children's Ombudsperson

A National Human Rights Commission was established in Côte d'Ivoire under Decree No. 2000-830 to monitor the state of human rights in the country. Nevertheless, in its 2001 Concluding Observations, the Committee on the Rights of the Child emphasised the importance of setting up a body to monitor and evaluate progress with regards to the implementation of the CRC at the local and national levels.
