Connecting the Dots: A Child Protection Model from Malawi

From 2010 – 2014, Catholic Relief Services  in Malawi led a consortium of twelve partners to implement the IMPACT (Integrated (HIV Effect) Mitigation and Positive Action for Community Transformation) program with funding from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the United States Agency for International Development.

IMPACT reached over 40,000 children and adults with child protection services and trained over 7,700 OVC committee members to actively protect the rights of the children in their communities.

This 7-minute video provides insights on how IMPACT achieved its goals, which Catholic Relief Services hope is replicated elsewhere.
