Summary: The vast majority of children living in
child-headed households (CHH) in
Rwanda lost their parents during the
genocide or during periods as
refugees.
Soon after the war, more than
85,000
households were headed by
children.
This document calls to re-examine
the
situation of children in CHH, and
suggests positive interventions.
