Summary: This is a report of a sample survey of
child porters in the Kathmandu Valley
and highlights the realities of their
grim lives as child porters, working
basically in urban areas with high
rates of migration from rural areas of
Nepal, and implements short and
long-term strategies to protect them
from the worst froms of exploitation,
neglect and abuse.
