BOTSWANA: UPR Submission on Inhuman Sentencing

Summary: Our research indicates that in Botswana, people may be sentenced to corporal punishment and life imprisonment for offences committed while under the age of18.

This report was submitted ahead of the 15th Session of the Universal Periodic Review as part of our campaign against inhuman sentencing of children - defined to include sentences of death, life imprisonment and corporal punishment.
