The objectives of the Samity include

a.Development of local education in
the Bankua district
b.Initiate and undertake
programmes for the welfare of
children
c.Implement programmes for the
welfare of youths and women The Samity works in the Bankua
district where they run non-formal
primary education centers in villages.
They also run a hostel for boys and
girls and organise the education of
these children up to high school
level. The Samity is also currently
working on a survey on child labour
in the Bankua district Vivekananda Tribal Welfare CentreVAKS
