awareness among the general public
and professionals on issues relating
to child abuse and neglect in South
Africa, and to co-ordinate and
distribute information relating to the
management and prevention oc
abuse and neglect to all agencies,
societies and persons in South Africa.
Initiate projects against child abuse;
hold annual conferences, seminars
and training courses; gather
information from regional branches
and hospitals and compile data; act
as an advisory body; assist in the
formation of regional branches; co-
operate with central, provincial and
local government and with other
national and international
organisations; formulate policies and
promote legislative measures
designed to improve management of
child neglect and abuse within South
Africa.
