Save the Children - Iceland

Formed on October 24th, 1989, United Nations Day, Save the Children Iceland is an independent organisation composed of several thousand members. Save the Children Iceland helps children in need, both in Iceland and abroad, and is a member of the Save the Children Alliance, an international organisation whose aim is to protect the rights of children. Save the Children Iceland is financed by membership fees, donations and fund-raising activities, among them the issue of remembrance cards and Christmas cards.
