PANGAEA is an independent publishing
house founded in 1991 to focus on the
natural history of the Earth and on her
children.

PANGAEA produces multilingual natural
history and cultural works on matters
of importance, with emphasis on the
Americas. The works are for
international audiences, enlightening
native to novice about the wildlife and
landscapes of nature, as well as
cultural and societal issues relating
to Americas’ children.
PANGAEA creates visually enticing
narratives that reflect the natural
wealth of the regions, developed in
conjunction with in-country authorities
on conservation. In our works on
sociology and anthropology our authors
have deep personal background in their
subject matter. The intimacy our
writers and photographers bring to
their work is richly authentic.
PANGAEA maintains high production
values in all its books. This starts
with the written word and image and
carries through to all phases of print
production. Our goal is for depth and
memorability. We want readers to be
moved by exquisite visuals and educated
by well-honed copy.
PANGAEA sets new precedents: every book
we ever have published or will publish
is a first of its kind.
