Awareness against Abuse and Neglect (AAN)
The best way to prevent abuse and neglect is through awareness of masses. AAN also meaning dignity or self-esteem is an effort to prevent abuse and neglect of children through awareness of teachers, parents, and other people caring for the children. PAHCHAAN creates awareness through research, capacity building and advocacy
Since its inception PAHCHAAN believes that, awareness raising is the most important strategy for preventing child abuse and neglect. PAHCHAAN has incorporated the aspect of awareness raising in all its projects. Its first project of vaccinating nomad children included health awareness seminars in each gathering at all three doses of Hepatitis-B Vaccination. PAHCHAAN has conducted innumerable awareness seminars, workshops, lectures, and symposia with almost all major care providers including health care providers, educationists and teachers, social scientists, students, youth, parents, and law enforcers and other duty bearers. The number of people directly informed thus runs into thousands.
