National Council for the Child - Israel

The National Council for the Child
was established in 1979 to protect
and advance children's rights. The
NCC operates on several
complementary fronts as it seeks
change in legislation, polcy and
practice through constant
observation , advocacy ,
representation , research , public
information and education.
The NCC monitors the quality of services for children, gathers data on Israeli children in general and children at risk in particular, serves as a nationwide address for anyone wishing to report violations of children's rights, aims to raise public awareness and initates innovative projects. Primary areas of work: Advancement of children's rights in all areas; raising public awareness; changes in legislation, publicy and practice. NCC
