The International Organization for Adolescents (IOFA) is dedicated to improving the lives of young people by addressing critical and emerging issues affecting vulnerable adolescents around the world.
The more than 1.2 billion young people living in the world today constitute nearly twenty percent of the global population. Adolescence is a critical stage of development, but young people in this age group are often neglected. Challenges related to globalization, inadequate investment in youth, and shifts in the world economy leave many at risk.

Countless adolescents must overcome great challenges, including violence, poverty, and a lack of resources, on their paths from childhood to adulthood. Without proper interventions, vulnerable youth may face lifelong economic and social hardships and may be exposed to numerous forms of crime, violence, and exploitation.IOFA
